The Cassowary is a vicious predator which feeds on small animals such as lizards, snakes, insects, and rodents. It can also kill animals as large as deer and kangaroos with its powerful kicks. Wow!

The Andean Condor

This vulture-like bird can weigh up to 33 pounds and has a wingspan of over 10 feet! It is found in the Andes Mountains of South America, where it feeds on carrion (dead animals). The Andean Condor is affectionately known as "the king of the skies" due to its impressive size and graceful flying ability. Despite its gentle nature, this bird can be quite deadly if threatened.

Can These Monster Birds Fly or What?

There is no mistaking that the birds seen in the photos below are massive and imposing. But are they capable of flight? That's a question that bird enthusiasts have been asking since these creatures were first spotted.

The largest of the birds, which has been named the Harpy Eagle, has a wingspan of almost 7 feet and a body weight of up to 18 pounds. It is thought that this eagle is native to Central and South America. The second largest bird is the Philippine Eagle, which has a wingspan of almost 6 feet and a body weight of up to 17 pounds. This eagle is native to the Philippines.

Both of these eagles are categorized as "monster birds" due to their massive size. But do they really deserve that title? Can they actually fly?

The answer to that question seems to be yes – at least, some species of these monster birds can fly. The Harpy Eagle, for example, is known to be an excellent flyer. It has been observed flying through the rainforest canopy with ease, using its powerful wings to navigate through the dense trees.

The Philippine Eagle is not quite as good a flyer as the Harpy Eagle, but it is still capable of getting airborne. It has been observed soaring over mountains and forests in search of prey.
